In cooperation with the scientific committee of medicine faculty students, Cairo University, Hospital 57357 launched a workshop for 400 students from medicine and pharmacy faculties of the Egyptian universities. The workshop took place on July 2nd  to the 5th and aimed to promote psychological support for children with cancer and their families. The workshop also introduced 57357’s model of providing comprehensive care to children with cancer and their families, spread out awareness about the nature of cancer, its development, treatment stages and how to deal with a sick child as well as awareness about the importance of scientific research and its role in monitoring the application  of treatment protocols.

It is through the learning and development department that the Hospital is overseeing the provision  of  the workshop titled “Reinforcement of children with cancer”. The workshop lecturers  are a group of 57357  healthcare professionals exp including Dr. Mohammed Sedki, oncology consultant, Dr. Amr Alnashar, research department, Dr. Ola Mohammed, head of patients’ awareness and education department and Dr. Adel Sharaf Eldeen, patient education specialist.

Dr. Aya Nassar, head of learning and development department and quality control consultant for Hospital 57357, presented a lecture about the Hospital’s history and journey, the progress of care , the history of charity work in Egypt and future challenges. She presented Hospital 57357’s efforts and achievements as a leader in healthcare provision, education and research, pursuing to reach world survival rates of 80 and 85% and  preparing a generation of professionals to work in research aiming to achieve a cancer free childhood.
