February 2nd 2025 was a special day for ECN and our Atlanta constituents with the inaugural celebration of the establishment of the Shareef Elhadidi Memorial Fund. Spear-headed by our dear Shareef’s family Mr. Tarek Elhadidi, Mrs. Rania Khedr, and Mr. Kareem Elhadidi, this fund has been established to keep the legacy of giving that was the embodiment of Shareef’s character alive and thriving. Surrounded by family and friends in their community the Elhadidi family raised over $115K in one night, a testament to the power of goodwill and loving support within their community. These funds have already been used to support the renovation of an ICU room, purchase of a Physiological Monitoring System and Digital Floor Scale for the newly upgraded BMT Unit, purchase of 3 Infusion Pumps to deliver life-saving chemotherapy treatment, and sponsoring the treatment of 3 children receiving treatment at CCHE 57357. ECN is proud to oversee and support the work of this very special fund and looks forward to many more years of collaboration in the fight against pediatric cancer and continuing Shareef Elhadidi’s legacy of selflessness and generosity.
