Today, Dr. Hisham El Seify is being honored with the Egyptian American Organization 2026 Outstanding Award—one of the most prestigious and selective recognitions granted to Egyptian Americans worldwide.
Established in 1986, this award is presented to an elite group of individuals whose careers reflect exceptional excellence, sustained global impact, and leadership that elevates the standing of Egyptians across disciplines.
Past recipients include iconic figures such as Dr. Ahmed Zewail, Dr. Farouk El-Baz, Dr. Mohamed El-Erian, and Dr. Nasr Ghoniem. Dr. El Seify’s selection places him firmly within this rare and distinguished lineage.
A board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. El Seify is internationally recognized for his clinical excellence and academic leadership.
He serves as a Clinical Professor at the University of California Irvine (UCI) and has been repeatedly recognized as a U.S. News Top Doctor, reflecting the highest standards of patient care and professional distinction. He is also the Director of the Orange County Aesthetic Fellowship, where he mentors and trains the next generation of plastic surgeons—shaping the future of the specialty through education, ethics, and innovation. Dr. El Seify’s impact, however, extends far beyond individual professional achievement.
His work begins with helping children and advancing education, and reaches deeply into transforming pediatric oncology in Egypt. He played a pivotal role in establishing strategic collaboration with Boston Dana-Farber, resulting in three specialized fellowships in pediatric oncology, radiotherapy, and bone marrow transplant (BMT).
Nearly 50 physicians have graduated from these programs and returned to Egypt equipped with world-class expertise—physicians who are now actively reshaping pediatric cancer care and raising national medical standards.
Recognizing that sustainable progress requires more than clinical skill alone, Dr. El Seify has consistently supported the development of healthcare infrastructure, including medical technology, machines, IT systems, and institutional capacity building.
He has been a strong advocate for enabling physicians to train abroad and return with knowledge that strengthens healthcare systems from within.
He is also a major champion of medical research in Egypt. Research programs rely heavily on his vision and support, which led to the development of a comprehensive ecosystem encompassing clinical research, biorepositories, basic research, and translational research. These integrated efforts are laying the foundation for outcome-driven research expected to significantly influence the future of cancer treatment in Egypt. In parallel, Dr. El Seify serves as Chairman of the Board of the Egypt Cancer Network (ECN) 57357 and is the Founder of ECN in the United States, Canada, Switzerland, and Dubai.
Through this global network, he has helped build a trusted platform that unites the Egyptian diaspora in support of Children’s Cancer Hospital Egypt 57357, fostering international collaboration grounded in transparency, sustainability, and long-term impact. Importantly, while the 2026 Outstanding Award honors Dr. El Seify personally, it also stands as a collective endorsement of the institutional model and leadership ecosystem behind Children’s Cancer Hospital 57357. The hospital’s governance and vision are led by a distinguished group of national and international leaders. The Chairman of the Board of Trustees is Dr. Amr Ezzat Salama, former Minister of Higher Education and current President of the Arab Universities Union, whose academic leadership has been central to the hospital’s strategic direction.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Friends of 57357 Association is Dr. Lotfy El-Badrawy, Vice President of KAPCI Coatings, whose industrial and institutional leadership has long supported the hospital’s operational excellence. The Honorary President of the 57357 Group is Dr. Mohamed El-Erian, the internationally renowned economist, whose global stature further reinforces the hospital’s credibility and international standing. In this broader context, the recognition of Dr. Hisham El Seify represents more than an individual accolade—it is a global affirmation of the Children’s Cancer Hospital 57357 ecosystem, its leadership philosophy, and its ability to build trust, inspire collaboration, and deliver measurable, lifesaving impact. As he accepts this honor, Dr. El Seify stands as a powerful example of purpose-driven leadership—where excellence becomes legacy, and where institutions, not individuals alone, become engines of lasting change.
