Through ECN and AFNCI , 57357 sponsors top students from Medicine and Science Faculties across Egypt.

600 students of Medicine and Sciences from six Egyptian universities including Helwan, Ain Shams, Aswan, Alexandria, Al-Azhar, and the Armed Forces College of Medicine

Tomorrow, Tuesday, January 9th, 2018, some 600 students of Medicine and Sciences from six Egyptian universities including Helwan, Ain Shams, Aswan, Alexandria, Al-Azhar, and the Armed Forces College of Medicine will access Harvard Medical School’s innovative on-line learning program HMX (Harvard medical external education) Fundamentals.

Through this program, the first batch of students-which includes a group of physicians, pharmacists and scientists from Hospital 57357-will be exposed to foundational knowledge in immunology and genetics for one year. Hospital 57357 is the second Harvard Medical External Education partner around the globe after Khon Kaen University in Thailand.

The program is a unique learning experience in which courses feature real life scenarios and case studies in clinical settings, use creative teaching methods and original illustrations, and offer interactive forums to respond to student questions and concerns.

Just as Harvard medical school is taking its knowledge beyond borders through their on-line HMX Fundamentals, 57357, in turn, is making this program available at less than 50% of its cost to Egyptian students. Moreover, within 57357’s CSR framework and in support of the enhancement of medical education in Egypt, the 57357 Group is sponsoring a significant number of top-ranking students to help healthcare professionals throughout Egypt adapt to the changing world of research, biomedical education and care delivery where immunology and genetics are becoming predominant actors.

It is noteworthy that during the three year duration of the joint initiative, 57357 will provide a team of technical support professionals to guide and assist all enrolled students with access to the course’s learning management system. The technical team is available 24/7 and a 57357 group e-mail system monitored by 57357’s medical e-learning team has been created. Orientation and trouble- shooting problem sessions have been carried out at 57357 to assist the students prior to the start of the program.
