With Ramadan around the corner, we wish our ECN donors, supporters, and chapter leaders in the US and Canada, a blessed time filled with health, serenity, and the meaningful things of life:  togetherness and supporting one another and the most vulnerable around us.

With the war outbreak in Ukraine, the future seems again so uncertain. Yet, the good news is that as the support of ECN to Hospital 57357 continued and even increased amid the corona pandemic, it is expected to endure come what may. Going through the corona crisis, made us focus on what really matters to us: our loved ones, our wellbeing, and our commitment to the cause of Hospital 57357’s children with cancer.

In 2021, thanks to your efforts, we contributed to sustaining the quality of services of Hospital 57357 to its patients through our support to their automated pathology lab,( first digital pathology  in Egypt that is capable of producing precise diagnostic results in a short turnaround time), the Rowa robotic medication dispensing machine, the CT simulator for their upcoming Cyberknife installation, the navigator for brain tumor surgeries, and the upgrading of their fleet of beds and infusion pumps. Moreover, we pursued to support their smart education and training efforts, through our contributions to the graduation of the third JCI cohort, the 2nd cohort of the Pharm D program, and the 4th cohort of the 57357/DFBC pediatric oncology fellowship program.

While the world around us is struggling with instability and uncertainties, let us fix our eyes on our pledge to do our utmost to save Egypt’s children with cancer. Now, more than ever, Hospital 57357 needs our support as they are embarked on meeting two pressing needs: expanding the capacities of their bone marrow transplant unit and emergency room department. With your help, we can join efforts to push forward this much urgent expansion. Thank you for being faithful to our cause and believing in the worthiness of our mission. With you, everything is possible.

Have a blessed and peaceful month of Ramadan!
