“My visit to Hospital 57357 was one of the most impactful moments in my life. These children are true fighters, and just being among them gives me a different kind of energy. I’m proud that this medical institution exists in my country, Egypt, and I’m happy that I was able to be a part of their day.”
He noted that he became more intimately aware of the suffering of children with cancer after portraying the role of “Adam” in his latest film, “Wish You Were Here,” which depicted a cancer patient’s journey. He stated: “I conducted research on the disease to portray the character authentically, and I now feel a greater responsibility towards these young heroes. I hope to contribute to alleviating their pain and supporting awareness of their illness.”
At the conclusion of the visit, Mena Massoud announced that he would support the children of Hospital 57357 and the hospital itself everywhere. He confirmed he would offer his support to the Egyptian Cancer Network (ECN) USA & ECN Canada associations and would call on his fans and followers worldwide to contribute to supporting this honorable therapeutic institution.
